the Tulip: WEARABLE SCULPTURE
the Tulip: WEARABLE SCULPTURE
MADE@Central is an optional enrichment program incorporating Music, Art, Drama and English. I successfully proposed a 2-semester project which will culminate in a filmed performance.
The first part of this project is to create a wearable sculpture. I designed a red tulip costume, symbolizing a handmaid. Moving or removable petals will be integral to the performance.
I photographed the sculpture as a Renaissance style portrait. The rebirth theme alludes to Gilead’s Genesis revival.
